dead space is pretty creepy and awesome. not so much the second one, but that one is still alright i guess. dudes will probably recommend you deadly premonition too. theoretically theres a Silent Hill HD collection coming out sometime next year too.

dead space 2 is awesome as well but veers off more into action game territory.

deadly premonition is actually a comedy game.

i think there are also hd remakes of resi evil 4 and code veronica available on xbox marketplace.

oh also the f.e.a.r games are supposed to be pretty good but i've never played them.

one thing you should never play is alone in the dark.

the condemned games are also really creepy and offer the novelty of having almost exclusively melee combat, where you use the analog sticks to swing all manner of bats, sticks and pipes.

I encountered some imperials taking some stormcloaks off in chains before I'd even made it to Whiterun and without word or warning just walked up and viciously murdered them.  Left their bodies on the cobblestone, wandered off to Whiterun.

I'm playing a Redguard and apparently Hammerfell is half-subjugated to the Thalmor Dominion, so I know what the fuck is up.

ha, yeah, this happened to me in the middle of a Riften side-quest that involved stealing a horse for some minor Black-Briar; I came out of sneak and fucked up my quest just to murder those bastards and free a couple Stormcloaks.

I'm a Redguard, too (I like doing a straight-up warrior Redguard as my first character), there's a great Redguard-ey side quest you get in the Whiterun tavern involving bounty hunters searching for the daughter of a noble house who sold out her people to the Thalmor, if you haven't done it.

I checked a few weeks ago and the turn-based pickin's for Mac are still slim. One thing that confuses me: Memoir '44 (part of Richard Borg's Command and Colors modular wargame system--which is kind of a Magic-style card game superimposed onto a simplified hex-and-dice tactical wargame) is free-to-play on Steam for PC, but unavailable on Steam for Mac, even though you can play the Mac version for free at the Days of Wonder website. That's all I got. But it's a great game that you may wanna check out (even if Command & Colors: Ancients is a superior expression of the system). I should dust off Kriegspiel.
