I had not seen the squirrel until you pointed it out. I think it's my favourite part of the picture...I love its raised paw as if its thinking "oh my!" with a British accent.

where i grew up the leaves were always wet wet wet and full of slugs, so i could never understand photos like that or poems about the crunchy leaves in autumn.

but then i moved to saskatchewan (10) and my life changed forever.

ohhhh my god

i love it
she is so lucky.

When I was growing up my mother did a lot of crafty things, making us blankets and hats and embroidering gorgeous winter coats and baby snuggies.  She got out of making stuff when I was a teenager, he has a hard time remembering how much creative stuff she did when I was a child (she think she's not creative).  It means so much to me, even when I was a kid I was all MY MOM MADE THIS THIS IS SO AWESOME (except for some hats she made that made me look like i was a squid when i was 7). 

She's started getting back into making things again and I'm really excited about it.   I meant to get some pictures while I was home but I failed to remember to.

Oh, I'm glad to hear you have happy memories of your mom's stuff -- I worry she'll grow up to think my things are tacky or crappy... you should definitely take photos. I also like hearing your stories about your mom. You could put them together into a photo book on snapfish or blurb or similar.

In more from the "kids are cute" file, I visited my family over Christmas and spent some time with my niece and nephew (ages 4 and almost 2).
