well, mostly in that last picture she looks like you in the eyes and cheek area, and her little chin. It's a face shape thing.

I imagine them having just watched you celebrate your coronation as king of New Hampshire while uttering amongst themselves: We shall let him enjoy his empty victory - for he knows not of the prophecy.

They definitely look like each other more than they look like me, though my niece and I do smile for pictures the same way:

^^^ These children are all magnificent! ^^^
Ellie's school topic this term, in the run-up to the Olympics, is 'London', and she spent most of yesterday making her own 'Gherkin' skyline scene:
As a bonus, this picture contains our two newest fish, Wanda and Rosie.

Icebergs! Man I'm making it a life goal to spend a whole summer in Newfoundland one day, livin' in a rusty old camper, fighting off elk with a big stick, wandering around Gros Morne, eating ten times my weight in Atlantic salmon, charming the locals with my accent.

We're planning a trip to the West Coast of Newfoundland for the end of July. We're going to make all our campground reservations this weekend. I can't wait to hike in Gros Morne and go to the Viking site at L'anse aux Meadows. I think we are going to take the ferry to the Labrador Coast too, because when will I ever get this close to Labrador again? I will be sure to post more pictures!

I'd love to go to Newfoundland too. My best buddy from Korea is a Newfie. I might have mentioned that before.
Here's a funny thing. About 20 or so years ago, my brother Matt was in a few bands (The Minogues, The Vaguely Dazed, Girl). They never really did anything other than record the odd demo and play local gigs, but they were good fun. This was late 80s, R.E.M/C86-influenced indie type stuff. Anyway, he just unearthed a photo of a couple of his bandmates from the Vaguely Dazed. matt is conveniently out of shot! The chap on the left was my flatmate for a year before I went to Korea and is now as bald as a snooker ball and a regular poker companion. The bass player has a couple of boys at my daughters' school. He's a cool dude. They look so young here, it's freaking me out.
