Oh man, I don't come into this thread often enough. Great photos.
Might as well throw a few out there.

Most definitely co-signed. But I'd like to know about this lion-inhabited regional park, plz.

Was this your fourth, fishjim? It seems like a good one.

Yep, it was our Fourth. Had a blast, and didn't light one darn sparkler.

We were at Tilden Regional Park in the hills right behind Berkeley, in Wildcat Canyon. Most of the hills in the Bay Area have a pretty active mountain lion population, and every few years a stray male wanders after some deer and gets lost in the suburbs. Sometimes they're tranquilized, usually they're shot.

A couple years ago a lion was shot in the Gourmet Ghetto area of Berkeley (Chez Panisse, original Peets, etc) which seemed like an irony too rich to pass up. So I wrote a poem - will dig up & post in the Immunity thread.

Oh man, I am so glad you took a picture of S. singing that. I should post the one of Evan singing Neil Diamond.

awesome x-post with the dream thread - birth of speckled kingsnakes!

from a friend in arkansas who found a grown kingsnake on his property, took it inside as a pet for his kids, and next thing he knows - eggs.
