National have passed so many laws under urgency...I didn't even know what urgency was until this government. They've put through laws similar to the patriot act, I think, on surveillance and all. Not just National though, Labour have done some appalling things with reference to security e.g. detaining a man without trial in solitary for 2 years because he was from Algeria.

I should have thought about how bad I would feel about skipping on volunteering this morning when I turned off my alarm. I should have thought about how I wouldn't want to get up at 7am on a saturday when I rescheduled. Should have known that when I rationalized with myself that "oh I'll only be an hour late, it's cool" that I would definitely sleep til noon when my shift was over anyway. Bah.
