Game of Thrones, right?

Actually, scratch that, it's 3 after GoT and Awkward. I get confused when we started talking calendar year instead of seasons.

It goes 1) Game of Thrones 2) Awkward 3) Homeland 4) The Nine Lives of Chloe King

The drop-off between 3 and 4 should tell you something about new shows this year

my 11 year old niece Jayce's favorite show is...awkward.

Was anyone else a little let down/put off by the first episode of the new Sherlock series? Still had some fun moments, but tonally it seemed different.

I feel like my tv tastes are so milquetoast. I've been really into Parks and Recreation and New Girl and that's kinda it.

Parks & Rec is definitely my favorite sitcom, and really, it's the only current show I bother to keep up with, since all the new episodes are posted on Hulu.

have they started having new episodes yet after the holiday break? I usually only watch that show at my parent's house when I go for dinner once a week and for a couple months they have been like "sorry dude, the ep this week wasn't new so we didn't record it". What is the deal? And what is the deal with 30 rock? and Big Bang Theory?

I have been watching the 3rd season of Misfits and it's alright, not as good as the first two. Has anyone seen the Nazi episode? Pretty rediculous.

I saw half of an episode of The League and I thought the same thing about it being old buds hanging out and saying dumb stuff except I felt like I would give anything to not have to hang out with those guys so I didn't keep watching it.

PS. I got my parents into The IT Crowd. It is so hilarious and we are done with everything they have on netflix. Do they have new seasons or is it totally done with as a show?

I also had them watch the pilot for Twin Peaks the other night and they were into it.

right? I just watched this episode where Moss gets stuck in a grab the stuffed animal with a flimsy mechanical arm scam game all night. My favorite character is the goth guy though.

Richard Ayoade is maybe the funniest man on earth. I laugh my ass off just watching him pull faces and walk around in that show.

I just watched the entire run of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace the other day and you are right.

I've still only seen the first 3 series of The IT Crowd though, need to correct that

I mostly watched that show while doing other things, like posting on LPTJ, so I'm not sure I took much away from it.

I thought it was better than series 1. A lot better, actually. I think they are starting to do interesting things with the Sherlock character, rather than it just being a quaint kinda entertaining thing....series 2 possesses ZIP sonnnnn! You just don't like that Sherlock has a thing with 'the Woman' cause you hate women.

I watched most of the 2nd season of Downton Abby today while slowly swallowing a live mackrel. Now all I got left is the Christmas episode! Merry late Christmas Downton!

I've been reading about "backdoor pilots"--did you know this new show The Finder (which is good dumb fun--random John Fogerty cameo right after the opening credits) was originally a Bones "backdoor pilot"?

"Backdoor pilot"

I had to google what that means, and also fight back the urge to turn that into my gamertag.

That first Sherlock episode was weird. Wasn't sure at first whether I liked it or not, but the longer I sit with it the more I did.
