I have been on a serious Jeezy kick recently.  Got Thug Motivation 101 on regular rotation in the car, and The Recession at home.  His voice on the latter is so awesomely raw, like he spent all day alternating between arbitrary screaming and huge blunts and then jumped in the booth.

[That "Throw It Up" track with Em and Gangsta Boo is pretty awesome. Em's verse is nuts.  I am also way into him reinterpreting swag rap cadences.]

whoever mixed his voice on the recession is a small hero. his rasp on that album is one of my favorite things in hip hop.
