Ben's old roommate got a post-doc in the Netherlands and sent us MIFFY OVEN MITTS.  I am so excited, they are so cute!

I felt rather tired yesterday from laughing so much at this video. Me, Grace and Colin went to the backyard and practised falling down, and I did it on the way back from the video store, then me and Grace couldn't move for laughing and people in passing cars looked concerned. Some friends and I are going to make a similar thing probably, or just go fall down everywhere.

i couldn't stop laughing either. the kid who throws his coat up in the air as he slips! something about how it just twirled above him slowly a few times as he landed on his ass made my day.

Guys I cannot express how awesome it is to have little Marin-beast curled up sleeping on my chest. There have been a couple of moments of frustrated near-hysteria in the last few days, but overall being with her has been a damn amazing experience. Can't wait to see how she endeavors toward further humanhood. Cool

So this little short horror movie that a couple friends of mine made this fall used some Mice in Cars music. It just premiered at Sundance and got bought by Magnolia Pictures.

It's really effing cool to be even tangentially involved in this!

Is this the horror flick you were an extra for?

Almost an extra for. The night of filming I was there for, they were running behind and wound up not doing that scene.

Not a damn clue. We didn't get any money on the front end because the movie was on a micro-budget and this was a favor for friends. I'll be interested in talking to the director now that it's been picked up--but yeah, I have no idea.

That would be rad as hell if there was like a soundtrack, but who the fuck puts those out anymore?

I bet they still sell those kinds of things on iTunes

You didn't sign any sort of contract or have to fill out any releases or anything, huh? I guess that could still be coming though now that it's picked up a distributor.

Whether you get paid for it or not, I think it's totally fucking awesome. Difficult put a Dear Astronaut song in one of his films and that's still one of the coolest things ever.

My friend Mike played music in this and in theory he's supposed to get royalty checks but has never actually gotten one. That might be for acting though, not music.
