mini lptj meet in prague!

the ticket was only £40. it was almost twice that for one in manchester. there's just the small matter of the flight, though.

yeah, and the getting of a passport, finding a place to stay, and getting time off. But dang, "hey, why are you going to Prague?" "to see Bruce Springsteen." AWESOME.

well, you'll need a passport sometime. you gotta leave the states eventually. as for the place to stay, i plan on doing a bit of couch surfing. I've decided to make a real adventure of it and get a euro rail pass, probably get a ferry to france, then work my way to prague, with stops off in belgium, holland and germany. then THE BOSS. the travel back down through austria, north italy, southern france and finally stop off and see some friends in spain before making a couple of more stops in france towards the ferry home.

it shall be a good july.

Sounds fantastic! Yes. I will have to leave them at some point. My friend visiting from Japan says the Japanese government is giving away plane tickets to people who write essays about why they want to visit Japan.

Dear Japan,
I want to visit my friend. She's cool.

It is super awesome to be back in NYC and last night there was an awesome party for mountmccabe's bday with a lot of awesome booze and eats. Awesome.

And today there's another party/baby shower thing for Marin at a gallery in Chelsea that D's friend put together and alls we gotta do is show up and receive gifts. Awesome.

This is kind of cool: https://bu.digication.com/ccoffman/Vollmann_collection
My friend Bryan and I are both penciled into the prospectus for this collection on William Vollmann. I'm finishing my essay this week.

This is a clear contender for least surprising news of all time, yet excellent, congratulations again!

A group of five academics making a decision a full day before the official deadline definitely counts as a surprise in my book!

(Thanks!)

I'm with edison about this being the least surprising news of the moment, but still.

SO AWESOME. Much Love
