got 4 tickets to the chapel hill date. im PRETTY EXCITED ABOUT IT. anyone else get tickets? i think they all went on sale at noon today, so... theyre probably already sold out everywhere.

yeah I was having some difficulties but now I'm at a place where I can actually buy them and I'm having second thoughts because I don't have anyone to make the drive or go to the show with me.

nevermind. sold out. "no tickets available that matched your request"

The Pabst Theater did a presale yesterday, and the tickets allotted for presale sold out in less than 20 minutes. The regular tickets go on sale in six minutes. You better believe I'm going to be ordering them in exactly six minutes.

Chicago tix sold out in less than four minutes.  I never had a chance.

Totally bummed.  I still love those NMH records, obviously, but 12-year-old me would be so happy thinking of the possibility of seeing Jeff Mangum live.  Now I can look forward to 12-year-old me AND my girlfriend beating me up all day.

Tickets purchased! I selected "best available" and our seats are about halfway in to the first balcony. That was just minutes after they went on sale at noon. If the show isn't fully sold out by now, it will be very soon, I think.

Took less than a half-hour to sell out both Athens shows. I passed by the one record store that was selling physical tickets yesterday at 11:30, a half-hour before they opened -- the line wrapped around the corner of the block and went halfway down the next side. Some people had allegedly camped out.

He was the lead-singer of now defunct indie-rock group Neutral Milk Hotel. They released two albums, the last one in 1998. He hasn't played a lot of concerts since the group broke up so when he does it's a big deal.

plus he's from athens so to those peeps it's an even bigger deal, but it's the closest south he's comin' I'm not horribly bummed, just a little bummed.

I decided that the pleasure I would get from Not Having to Worry About It would be just slightly less pleasing than actually going to the show, and considering it's $55 cheaper to do things that way, I feel I made the right decision.

Oh, that'll be fun. The local rag, NOW magazine deemed his gig here one of the top 10 shows in Toronto for 2011. So ya know, that's some indie cred for ya.
