Bears could lose QB Cutler indefinitely with broken thumb
Quote
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler likely will undergo surgery on a broken thumb on his throwing hand, league sources told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora on Sunday night.
Cutler will undergo further tests Monday on the injury, which he suffered during the Bears' 31-20 victory over the San Diego Chargers earlier Sunday.
He could be out indefinitely, which means you guys in the reverse fantasy league should pick up Caleb Hanie for a laff riot.

I like BCS chaos
Fucking amazing
Let's say that Arkansas beats LSU. Auburn beats Alabama. Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State. Virginia or Clemson beats Virginia Tech. Notre Dame beats Stanford. Georgia beats Arkansas. Who plays in the BCS game? Probably still LSU, since they'd only have 1 loss. Houston? Boise State? Have a sign-up sheet outside the BCS office? Sell raffle tickets to teams for 10 grand each and draw one?

It well could be LSU-Houston or BSU. If all that unlikely stuff happened, that is.
Also I hope Rich Rodriguez does well in Tucson. I think he was a bad fit for Ann Arbor and for numerous reasons - horrible records, rules violations - did not have near enough time to implement his offense and recruit the right players to run it. Hopefully he'll be more reasonable and rules-abiding for Arizona; he shouldn't need as much time to mold the Wildcats.

They beat Kentucky, the worst team in the SEC, by a mere 9 points this week. They ain't beating LSU. They might not even beat GA Tech.

The best part about it being LSU/BSU in this scenario is that neither team would be the champion of their conference.

Posting about fake football (college football) in this thread is like posting about baseball in the cricket thread. Real sports have championships.

Whoa, blucas was only 4 points short of getting on a 2 game winning streak this week.
2 playoff spots left. Nowhere Nobodies clinch with one more win. That 8th spot could be a battle.

Apparently
Kyle Orton has asked to be waived from the Broncos
and has made it known that he'd like to rejoin the Bears. Kyle Orton and Jay Cutler on the same team? That's not a quarterback controversy. That's the sound of my pants exploding.

I watched so much god-damned football today. I saw the Jets, Pats, Broncos, and Steelers games and some of the Bengals and Raiders games. I remember absolutely nothing.

A chess match between Andy Reid and Norv Turner would end with the two kings chasing one another across the board, dancing in futility.

Playoffs! Here we go. Key injuries on the top two seeds make upsets pretty likely. If i were the betting type, I'd give Josh the best odds of getting through-- his lineup's pretty well intact.
Pleased that the playoffs feature 7 of the 8 highest scoring teams, and all of the top 6, I think.

8 team playoff should be pretty wild. There's not really a HUGE point separation between 1-7. There could be some real Cinderella action here.
