He's a quarterback for Denver Broncos, known for his expressive religious believes and miraculous comebacks late in games. How do I know this? Because I actually watched Patriots-Broncos the other day! The second American football game I've watched and, while I enjoyed it while they were playing, it really confirmed
this
for me.

I've watched international broadcasts of other sporting events, where the same three commercials are shown at every break. If I tried to watch an entire pro football game with the same deal, I'd go crazy.

It's like that when I watch local broadcasts of NBA games and it has driven me a tad mad. That's why I prefer streaming games, even though there is a drop in picture quality, I get to hear Marv Albert, Jeff Van Gundy, Steve Kerr and Reggie Miller among other legends calling the game and get to see lots of car and fast-food commercials during timeouts.

The funny thing is that when I stream, sometimes the feed is from overseas and I either see ads for coverage of some regional championship qualifier or three legendary moments from NBA history in a row.
Namely "The Steal," Dwyane Wade's 2004 first round playoff explosion, and Kobe Bryant's 2006 first round playoff thing against the Suns.

Haha, yeah that was in constant rotation on the official NBA league pass. I didn't mind seeing
the steal from Larry Legend
over and over again though. It was worse when they played some sappy
"NBA Cares" song
on loop during timeouts, that seriously drove me crazy (can't believe that abomination of a song is on youtube, it's funny). Now they simply have a still screen and silence which I like but I would still prefer just seeing the commercials. Anything is better than
that
song though.

At Bobcats games they play the same 3 or 4 NBA Cares and NBA: Where Amazing Happens video propaganda pieces over and over on the big screen during timeouts. I'm like uhh this is the Bobcats ain't much Amazing happenin here.

Really remarkable that both games came down to coin-flips, essentially. One game went to OT, and the other one should have.

Patriots are on a revenge tour this offseason, avenging losses to Denver in '05, Baltimore in '09, and finishing with the Giants.
I may be even more indifferent about this Super Bowl than I was last year.

It's not all bad for 49ers KR Kyle Williams. The Giants have voted him in for a full playoff share.

has this been discussed yet? i think the colts should let manning go. what do you think the chances really are that he will win another ring in indy? if they do let him go, what do you think the chances actually are that he'd win a ring anywhere else? it's not like there's not a LOT of competition right now. indy is a mess. anywhere else he goes, do you think there's going to be a good enough foundation there to overcome what else is out there? i think they have more to gain than to lose by letting him go. if manning isn't what he was when/if he comes back and luck (or whoever ends up being their guy) ends up being a high-end QB in the future, irsay will look good for essentially knowing when it was time to let manning go. i'm not going to say that it's a sure thing, but look at what happened in green bay. favre did have a good year in the years after he left, but in the end, GB now has a ring.

But if the Colts let him go, then he can't become their offensive coordinator when he stops playing football.

That was the most boring superbowl ever. Also, the halftime show. At least we have world peace now right?
