I could play tonight, though I'd prefer to do so through some free means on the PC rather than shelling out 10 bucks to Microsoft.

It'd be sweet if we could get a little low-stakes game going, but from what I can see the only sites still accepting us deposits have deposit minimums of at least $50.

I'd be down to play, I just don't know what the non-Xbox options are like.  I have a Mac with Parallels, so OS is not necessarily a limiting factor, just ain't got a X-Box.

I remember PartyPoker having a pretty good client, and it being pretty polished for Mac.

Also if we wanted to do a little informal tourney-style winner-take-all pot thing at like $5 a person, that would be pretty sweet. Be easy if everyone had a PayPal account.

Actually fuck PartyPoker; I just tried and failed three times to create an account. Anyone else?

I'm up for whatever as long as it ain't involve Paypal or Zynga. Google Checkout is a GO though. Is Yahoo! Games too pedestrian? I used to play spades on there ten years ago. I got two Macs and a Lenovo runnin XP.

btw, Thermies, did you gunny-sarge that UFC last night? Shit was short. There were some nasty knockouts, this crazy Brazilian who it out of his mind, sprung a dude's knee, and in the main event, the winner of the fight crowd surfed into a Brazilian crowd. Shit got real! It makes boxing look like shit, man. You see that Mayweather wants to fight big P? I think he's bullshittin' but...a man is hopeful.

I saw the knee to the face knockout clip and the leap into the crowd! I didn't watch it though. But more importantly, I saw Mayweather was DtF(ight) and then Pac's camp was all "naaahhhhh"...usually that shit's the other way around! I want this fight to happen, we need to eulogize the sport of boxing with one last great classic.

Yeah, that dude is for sho. There was a buncha good ends to them fights. One guy did a wheelhouse kick and knocked a dude out, dude's face was just black with unconsciousness, as he fell down, limbs rigid. 'Nother dude torqued a guy's knee and prob did permanent damage...the dude who did it, is crazy. One time, in the middle of the fight, he decided the fight was over and jumped on the cage, flexing. The ref and the other fighter looked at each other.

The new Mortal Kombat is pretty fly for a white guy.

Guess I'm not finishing the Companions questline, since they sent me to kill the Silver Hand leader someplace I've already cleared, and the game bugs out and puts the quest marker in the middle of a river.  Awesome, Bethesda.

I mean, I'm a level 40 and I haven't had a single crash. There was one weird bug where, I was supposed to take Falkreath for the Stormcloaks, but because I'd never even been to Falkreath, the game just freaked out and advanced the quest, but that's really it until now.

From what I've read, it seems like they did a good job on this one with just advancing quests if there's anything questionable, so at least that way you don't get stuck. Pretty frustrating to have an entire questline closed off though. Apparently there's a patch coming out this week; maybe I'll get lucky.

My copy of Skyrim is still in the shrink 'cause I've gotten addicted to an online version of A Few Acres of Snow over at Yucata. I think Dick, Coldforge or possibly GI would be into it. It's a two-player, turn-based strategy game that loosely simulates the French and Indian War, with a MtG/Dominion-style deckbuilding system grafted onto it. It's partially in German and not exactly gorgeous to look at, but it's free and really fun.
