I bought a pair of Birkenstocks once. They tore up my feet so badly I gave them away.

I've worn only Birkenstocks in the summers - or variations thereof, my last couple pairs have been hand-cobbled sandals made with Birkenstock parts by the cobbler who used to be up the road - since the late eighties. I swear by 'em, although the tan lines are now permanently scratched into my skin.

Bought brown suit a while back. Realized I had no brown shoes to wear with it. Bought brown shoes today to go with it. The end.

Also: I *think* I've pretty much worn only Fluevogs in the non-summers (except for the very rare pair of running shoes, which are only ever worn while running - and I hate running - because I hate running shoes) since the late eighties as well.

I am brand-loyal, but only in footware.

Woooooo new suit!  I tried to take a picture but it's really kind of hard to get right - it's like a navy glen plaid.  So fly.  And really really lightweight, too.

fun. a well fitted suit can look foxy and modern on a woman, if you keep it on this side with nude fishnets (just peeking out at ankle), heels and jewelry - stray too far into menswear territory and you risk looking like you're joking. that said, i went through a bag lady phase in junior high where everything i wore was mismatched polyester and 70's prints from the thrift store... who gives a shit, right?

Why not!?!?! I've got a fantastic dinner suit that I bought for $20 20 years ago, and tails that a friend gave me too. I love them.

Yeah, women in tailored clothing is generally a good look.  Given the greater tolerance for bright colors and flashy patterns in women's clothing, also, it means that you could rock stuff that would be incredibly dandified on say, me, and just look fly as fuck.

God, I don't know. I just figured - doesn't everybody sing that song in the shower?

EDIT: More to the point, it's only got about 2 notes I need to hit, and even that's gonna be tough. My pipes, such as they are, are monotone.

For the monotone-inclined, Cake is a pretty good karaoke choice.

You want a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket, don't you?

For me karaoke all about the 90s hits. Refreshments, Oasis, Gin Blossoms, and some Jewel for the ladies.

Last time my work friends went out for karaoke, I did No Diggity by Blackstreet, and no fewer than 4 coworkers who were not there came up to me the next day to find out if the rumors of how awesome it was were true.  That made me feel like a million damned dollars.
