Man, Running Wilde was one of the most aggressively unfunny things I've ever seen put over as a comedy. I couldn't watch an entire episode of it due to the proximity embarrassment.

Breaking Bad is fantastic, but it actively savors the feeling of being pressed in from all sides, slowly being squeezed to death.  You might find it really stressful? I dunno, I love it immensely.

Also my biggest fear with Arrested Devlopment is that with all its cult success, it has a strong potential to be kind of circle-jerky-smug in tone.  I hope to be proven wrong, though, as I liked the seasons it did have.

Hey guys, so David Fincher is working on a remake of the brilliant UK political drama series House of Cards and it will star Kevin Spacey with Fincher himself directing the pilot. It will air sometime in 2013. Before that drops I recommend you checking out the original series. It's about this old conservative who is the Chief Whip of his party (the guy who keeps everybody in line by knowing everybody's secrets) and his rise within the UK political system during the Thatcher era. It's wonderfully wry and clever and not without its distinct humor since the Chief Whip breaks the fourth wall regularly and talk directly to the camera.

I've been traveling and thus haven't gotten to watch Sunday's GoT yet. Leaving for the airport now; an hour ago I grabbed an Android torrent client for my kindle fire and snagged the torrent. The mp4 plays perfectly! Thing is, I would've gladly coughed up a few bucks to do it legally and in one step. Get your shit together HBO!

Yeah i need to give this another shot. I found the narrative gimmick a little off putting because it's like literally the first thing that happens in the first episode.

I've only seen the pilot of Community, but I get the impression that nowadays most episodes are high-concept homage pieces or whatever? I would probably be into that.

Yeah, I can't see how the show could really be the same without him, especially given that his replacements are the two guys who did "Just Shoot Me".
