Meanwhile, Things That are Good About Tumblr:

- The sense that somewhere, out there, someone is reading, or at least gives enough of a shit to save your work in their "likes" for later reading. These are all illusions but hey they sustain me.

- Huge concentration of great writers who know each other and will nest reblogs until collapse, but fuck if it ain't totally absorbing. (It is also a center for completely unremarkable writers who are very popular, but WHATEVER, that is another list)

- As a music blogger, music posts are pretty much the most wonderful thing about Tumblr, for the relative ease in their execution compared to either Wordpress or Blogspot what with their media libraries where the devils reside.

The whole "exclusively posts pictures that meet an incredibly specific set of parameters" thing is kind of funny, but I guess Selleck Waterfall Sandwich guy ran out of material.

I made a Tumblr.
I have gone for YEARS without having a facebook or a twitter or a blog or anything that woud give me any kind of internet footprint and now I have a Tumblr, and it is also primarily so I can read TSKS and BAoH, but I think I missed writing about stuff, so I might use it to try and write sentences about music that do not make me want to die. I like it so far, despite the bugginess, and I think it suits my current level of ADD. (cue someone somewhere going "you would.")
If you want to know where it is PM me. If a Tumblr is made and after three days no one follows it in the woods does it make a sound etc etc.

It is one of the greatest joys in my misspent early-to-mid adulthood, but it is inconvenient at times because even when you are on lunch which is technically when we are supposed to be interneting at work and you are giggling helplessly at a computer screen it looks kind of suspicious.
