So the idea that Jose Canseco confusing Al Gore for dead is now archived in the Library of Congress delights me to no end. In fact, the thing where all Twurts are archived in the Library of Congress makes ridiculous Twitter things so much more satisfying in general, in my opinion.

I won a CD on twitter last night
to be fair, the guy had kind of a limited audience, being NY-based and posting at 11:30 at night. I'm still kind of excited about it because it required knowledge of weird animals, and the CD is all songs about weird animals.

Really after three(?) years of being a Twitter user, I hardly ever look at it. I use it to post random notions because I know there are some folks like jm who aren't on FB, but almost never do I fire it up to read my stream. I hate how decontextualized it is; its original operative distinction has become its biggest usability flaw, in my book. I don't want 140 characters; I want article previews, embedded videos, and threaded replies.

After a fashion. And not on the mobile app so much. And at this point the character limitation seems like a throwback gimmick, even though I realize many people feels it's a creative enablement. I just disagree.

I need the validation of my stupid thoughts that Facebook likes provide, plus extra length etc, so I'll probably never go to Twitter. I'll just gawp at people like lizard_wizard77 from afar

Yeah, I don't actually follow him, I just look at his twitter-feed once a day or so.  I actually have a second account just for following high-volume tweeters.
