That is a great pic Em. It's good that they let you choose too.

God, that's one of the better work photos I've seen. I tend to think of them as marginally a step up from driver's licence photos, but that is really pretty.

Hey, thanks guys. I actually don't particularly love it, but I also don't have a lot of stake in the matter--I just rarely get my photo taken so I was sort of like, oh, hey, that's what it looks like when someone else takes my picture! And yeah, clare, I actually had a lot of options--full-length shots, different angles, etc.--but I guess I stuck with the classic.

Edited to add: It was a highly weird process.

Mine is actually several steps down from my driver's license pic.

my band toured CA and it was fun.  i wish i was at the beach eating a fish taco instead of... not being on a beach eating no fish tacos.

i bought a new digital camera- the fuji x10 and i'm really happy with it.

I am wayyyy bad at the "this person looks like THAT person" game, I have some faceblindness issues.  But I swore this guy with a fake beard and an owl on his arm was Greg for a split second when I saw it on reddit.

dang I want a fun work picture. I had to do one for a bid presentation and I chose one of me collecting data on orchids smiling outside but they said it wasn't professional enough so I had to take one inside, but I got them to take it with me standing next to a fake tree so that was a win for me. I was also wearing my favorite wooden safari animal necklace but you can't see it because the picture is from the shoulders up.

ps. the above picture is really cool. oh to be a falconer.
