Crap, I downloaded that a couple weeks ago and haven't started watching yet. I'll probably commit a lazy Sunday to it one of these weekends.

each episode is like 2hrs, but if you wanna be super hardcore about it, go right ahead!

Well, every so often I go into hermit mode and watch like half a season or more of a given TV show in a day, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for me to settle in and watch 4 or 5 episodes marathon style. If I had a really slow and antisocial weekend, I could probably hammer the whole thing out. Probably won't pan out that way, but we'll see.

I put up 68 points in Pick Six yesterday and only 3 of my dudes even scored (Dickey, Ruiz, Kimbrel), which was good enough for 6th on Talking Chop. I gotta start remembering that Beltran is still only .50 and start using him more often.
Today I blew $80 on Verlander vs Cubs as my pitcher and ended up with $10 left over. Verlander/Pierzynski/Count Donkula/Kipnis/Beltran/Perez

Someone in one of my leagues dropped Matt Moore! The sound I made when I saw it was a sound... well, I'm glad nobody was around to hear it.

Well this is just fantastic:

Turns out that Manny Ramirez's dreads are the cause of all of the world's problems. Finally, we've gotten to the bottom of it.

Nice Simpsons quote at the bottom of the article!

Pedro Alvarez has hit 4 dingers in two days. It's a joy to behold!

Dang, R. A. Dickey had another CG one-hitter tonight. Two measly hits from matching Johnny VanderMeer. Crazy stuff.

Incredible. Possibility of a knuckleballer starting for the National League in the All Star Game?

Gotta be down to Dickey, Cain, and maybe Gio or Strasburg at this point.

Beachy would be in the running, but his MRI today is making it look like he's headed to visit Dr. James Andrews. Dammit.

Dr. James Andrews just got done with Charlie Morton's arm a couple days ago!

Here's the clip showing all 11 of Dickey's strikeouts. I love Buck Showalter but I laughed pretty hard when the camera catches him shaking his head.

R.A. Dickey accomplished something that hadn’t been done in 24 years.

After throwing a 1-hitter against the Baltimore Orioles, the New York Mets ace became the first pitcher to throw consecutive 1-hitters since Dave Stieb in 1988 for the Toronto Blue Jays.

He’s not just the first in 24 years. He’s only the second to accomplish this feat in the last 65 years and the first National League pitcher since Jim Tobin in 1944 for the Boston Braves.

Dickey is the 10th pitcher since 1900 to allow one hit or fewer in consecutive complete games and the first for the Mets. After throwing his previous 1-hitter against the Tampa Bay Rays, Dickey is of course the only pitcher ever with consecutive interleague 1-hitters.

Dickey is the first pitcher in modern baseball history (since 1900) with back-to-back 1-hitters of at least 10 strikeouts, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Ridiculous!

James McDonald is the only Pirates pitcher since 1900 to allow three or fewer runs in each of his first 14 starts of a season.

Does the rest of the baseball world know how good James McDonald is? Do the fantasy players even know? I don't even see the blogs talk about him. 14 starts, 2.19 ERA

I know how good he is! He's on 2 of my 3 teams (someone beat me to him in the 3rd). He's one of the dudes that is always in my lineup regardless of matchup. And he costs 12.75 in Pick 6, so he's getting some attention there.

Awesome! And I completely abandoned Pick 6 over a month ago, mostly out of forgetfulness, but I'm gonna head over and make some picks for the hell of it.

Youk to ChiSox: Weird, but a good move for the ChiSox. Seems like they didn't give up much to get him either.

Oakland scored the most runs in the month of June: real weird.

The O's released Moyer the other day and now Tejada. I guess the '04 All-Star team is out the window.

I can't find that post from the old thread where I was talking about how I would set up the Braves lineup, but I've been saying Heyward should bat 2nd for awhile now. Well, they've batted him there 3 times now, including the last 2 nights, and they've scored 9, 8, and 6 so far tonight in those games. Small sample size caveats apply, but I'm just sayin' is all.

Why is no one particularly concerned that Brian McCann is hitting .234 so far this season?
