To clarify: I wouldn't judge a person's drinking based on a special event. Maybe if they got reputation-damagingly sloppy, but still probably not.

Were you drinking at all? I thought you were teetotalling.
Maybe she's wondering if non-drinking was making people uncomfortable?
The only thing that bothers me is that I wasn't there

Just curious, did anybody notice how many drinks I had at Perdition, and if you did, did it bother you?
I think the only time I notice whether a person is drinking/not drinking/has a full glass/has an empty glass is when I'm sizing up a round of drinks to acquire, which happened a couple of times at Perdition. Unless someone is vomiting on me, overturning tables, or glaring at me for consuming alcohol, I'm never bothered by what other people choose to drink!

Yeah, I didn't drink anything but water, and was a bit worried it might seem preachy or antisocial in the way that things can.

Not preachy or antisocial in any way! My only sadness when people aren't drinking is that it eliminates the opportunity for me to buy them a drink, which is like my main form of hospitality.

Good luck! - I found I was still a smoker who hadn't had one for a while for at least two years, so I had to keep being strict with myself. Don't rest on your L's!

Lucky number SEVEN weeks of not smoking! Man do I want one today though--and I haven't in quite some time. What's up with that, I ask?

First two and a half years or so were the hardest for me. Haven't had a strong pan for a few months now.

My plan has been for a while now to quit by age 35 (I will be 34 in July) chosen because 35 is the age that I definitely cannot smoke and be on birth control. It has recently come to my attention that this is bullshit.

I still get urges, and it'll be two years this summer. I sometimes indulge those urges, though, with a drag here or there, which is a problem, and which I always regret.

It's been about 4 years for me, and I think about it maybe once every 2 months, but not seriously. I don't know that it's a craving so much as a parodic vision of myself buying cigarettes and/or smoking and the fallout of what would happen if I were to start smoking again.
I will smoke in my 80's. It's something to look forward to.
