This shit deserves its own thread. I don't know what it is about this show, but when it hits, the laughter it evokes is soundless and magical.

Here's a pretty good rundown of the episode that worked for me

Blake and Adam bring home an entire cow carcass thanks in some part to Karl, intent on starting their own jerky brand, complete with a calendar full of sexy models. They’ve even got a great name for their company, which is the episode title. But “The Meat Jerking Beef Boys” isn’t the only phallic-obsessed part of the episode, the trio also discuss “dad dicks”’ on their roof while still wearing cow blood-stained shirts, and lament how great they were in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Riveting stuff, that discussion.

The "dad dicks" conversation KILLED me. Great ep, up there with the acid trip business trip and the hovercraft lawsuit.

Nah while they were having the conversation I was like "I know exactly wtf he's talkin about." They were def bigger in the 80s.

I watched the first episode the other day on Netflix and didn't find it that appealing at all. I wanted to like it, momo, cause I put a lot of stock in your recommendation. Does it get better?

Bernard and milly know what's up, as always

THE ESSENTIAL WORKAHOLICS in my opinion:

The weightlifting episode
The dragon statue episode
The eating shrooms at work episode
The hedonism episode
The business trip episode

honorable mentions to the bieberhole69 ep, the juggalos ep and the latest ep with Ders' dad

The bieberhole69 one is so fantastic; it's the only TV I can think of besides Brass Eye's Paedogeddon special that I've been like, "Okay, that was a really good series of jokes about child molesters."  I think it's largely because all the humor is based on other people's reactions TO the child molester.

Definitely! I think my favorite thing about that episode are the weird abrupt cadences in bieberhole's speech pattern.

The 10 seconds of footage of the next episode that were tacked onto the credits of the Ders' dad ep...man. Apparently the next ep concerns a church where bodybuilders in track suits deadlift giant crosses

which by the way is probably the single greatest piece of television ever.

Like many screwball comedies, Workaholics exists to exploit the idiocy of the main characters rather than turn them into a nexus of empathy

EAT LASER, SCUMMIES

Everything about that episode was magic but in particular Blake having a laser fight with 15 year old girls on bikes while chiptune music beeped away on the soundtrack. He fuckin called the girls "scummies." A new canonical top 5 ep!

The writer of this installment, Kevin Etten, also wrote the dragon statue episode from season 2, so they should probably just let him write every episode.
