Anti-Islamic Black Metal: Hoax or no hoax?

Came across this article recently about the rise of Anti-Islamic Black Metal bands in the Middle East:
http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2012/07/when-black-metals-anti-religious-message-gets-turned-on-islam/259680/#
An interesting read, but I recently also came across this article:
http://metalluminati.com/anti-islamic-black-metal-band-from-iraq-a-hoax/
which claims the whole thing is a hoax.
Anybody heard of this or have any insight here? Just curious.

From the second, skeptical article:
Quote
At the end of the day, there’s little reason to doubt that Anahita, Janaza, or Seeds of Iblis are anti-Islamic metal musicians. However, their Acrassicauda 2.0 backstory of currently living in Iraq and covertly dodging “religious authorities” as Kim Kelly’s (supposed) reporting describes just doesn’t add up.
I find this plausible as well. The real story could be anything between them being Arabian metallers from the named (Bahraini, Saudi) bands, but playing up the Iraqi angle to gain attention (they wouldn't be the first people, in black metal or elsewhere, to embellish they back story), to being, as the article puts it, a 40 year old white guy in Georgia.
There is no reason on earth why there wouldn't be anti-Islamic black metal bands in the Middle East. That is largely the point of the whole deal.
