It's not so bad really, it's just lots of those songs were killed for me after having to sing em at school.
Speaking of which, we found out today that our principal who's bin there since the time when dinosaurs weren't just confined to zoos is retiring. I always thought she'd go on until she had a heart attack at her desk

Who's the youngest here? I am 16 going on 17, I know that I'm naive...
Sorry, I watched The Sound o Music recently. I don't really know why
I am the same! But I think that heathcote is younger than we are.
Well go us. Are us 3 the only regular young posters?

if you're talking 18/under, there's jordanmichael, and i would have been in that category until very recently, and if you mean 21/under, well the whole things opens up, i'm pretty sure.

I didnt think you were that young, reese, for some reason. What is the average age of consent in the states? I know it varies from state to state. The drinking age used to be 21 here too, which seems ridiculously old to me.

cigarettes and sexual material is 18+, liquor 21+ nationwide.
nice how you can see 'em in real life, but not on paper!
i'm actually around 34.

Really? Julie Andrews'll be glad to hear she got something across. The movie is kinda cheering, despite the too-cute-for-words child actors.
Apparently Christopher Plummer said working with julie andrews was like being hit over the head by a valentine card. that doesn't stop being awesome for me

Illinois's age of consent is 17, & in most states it's 18, I believe.

Minnesota's age of consent is 16, but the catch is that you can't make legal decisions until you're 18 (19 in Nebraska) so if the other person's parent's want to make it an issue, they can, independant of the wishes of their child.
Plus I think there's a whole deal about it legally being statutory anyway if you're more than two years older than the minor in question, but the legality of it all is hazy since I'm far too old to be having sex with people under 18 and have been for some time, so it never comes up.
Fuck, I never have sex anyway, so there really isn't even a situation where it
would
come up.

haha..but you're right! When you reach the age of sixteen you can legally have sex with seventeen and eighteen year olds, I believe! But your parents can still make a legal fuss if they wish. Once you are over eighteen, however, you're not really supposed to be involved with sixteen year olds anymore.

Really? I thought liquor regulations also depend on the state?
For the record, in Austria it's
age of consent: 14
cigarettes: 16
liquor: 16
pornographic material: 16
driving: 18 until recently, now 17 (but with some extra regulations and precautions)
voting, betting, etc.: 18

My old roomie would bring home girls he met at SOLAR. Even the attractive ones (and there were plenty) were severe mental cases.
