Quote from: "Anne the Man"
Every time I try to organize the picnic which I organize for my friends every holidays, they're all reasonably enthusiastic except one, who I have to coerce into coming at all and then worry about whether she's having a good time until I feel too pissed off/miserable with her to have a good time myself. I want her to come but it feels like too much of an effort

Quote from: "auto-da-fey"
I traded my copy of Lasterday I Was Been Bad (the only Happy Flowers album I've heard or owned) for porn to a guy named Al, who wore a trenchcoat, talked about shooting up the school, and carved the name of the sniper from Higher Learning into his arm...

A portion of the first post from a self-confessed lurker...

 Shocked

Ehh, I'm not one to judge though

In the interest of preserving my burgeoning reputation, Al and I were not exactly bosom buddies; he just happened to be 18, and he bought a lot of porn movies but always felt guilty and eager to rid himself of their polluting presence, which more or less formed the basis of our social bond (myself being an eager underage receptacle for his castaways). To the best of my knowledge, he went on to marry quickly out of high school and settled comfortably into a blue-collar job, without ever killing anyone.

Just, you know, for the record and all.

Glad to hear that turned out alright.  When you're not of age and you've got a yearnin' for porn, you've got to do what you've got to do.  Believe me, I completely understand.  I'm not interested in tarnishing any reputations.  I just found it amusing.

You've got to appreciate the way that sounds out of context though.  Plus, you landed youself in the quotable thread w/ your very first post!  Congrats!
