when was the last time you made a paper plane to play around with?
i work in the middle of oslo, on the seventh floor. throwing paper planes out the window and watch them confuse passersby is a good pass-time activity thing.
yes. this post was created for the sole purpose of promoting paper plane use in tall buildings.

i make the best paper airplanes!! i will post a picture when i get home.
on a super embarrasing paper airplane note: i was about 10 or 11 years old, 4th grade i think, i lived in chile at the time, and oh man, it was the early nineties and the dictatorship had just ended and my teacher took my class to see the "congress" - note that having lived under pinochet, words like "senators" and "representatives" were a completely new concept... so my teacher takes us to see this huge new building about an hour away from the city, where these people meet, and discuss what laws are going to be approved - wow, everything sooo new! - and we are there, like in balcony, looking over the senators... and what do i do? - yes, throw a paper airplane! - i got in sooo much trouble, i still remember the confused politicians, and how i almost died of a heart attack when i saw my little plane turn the wrong way... still makes my heart palpitate!

Nati, though the memory must be devastatingly embarrasing (and I have my share of those, and yeah, I still break out in a cold sweat thinking about that one time in the seventh grade...), I do believe it's the best paper airplane story ever.
My dad used to work at AT&T in Detroit. Him and his buddies would go up to the roof and toss paper airplanes--he says the ones he made were more like tubes--and watch them float all over the city.
I once wrote a song called "Paper Airplane" for my aunt to play for my baby cousin who was in a coma. I think I still have it on my computer somewhere.

Virtually every time I go out to eat I make a paper airplane out of my napkin. It doesn't matter if it's a flimsy paper napkin or a huge cloth napkin, I'll fold it up and try to fly it. Very very few napkins work well for paper airplanes. Paper placemats, on the other hand...
PS. Nati, that is indeed an amazing paper airplane story.

wow, Nati owns this thread.
when was little I had this badass paper airplane book, and this one book that showed you how to make this one type of paper airplane that kicks ass and I still remember how to make.
One time we (dieblucasdie, myself, and his friend) were throwing paper airplanes off the balcony at our house and the friend had the great idea of putting all the paper airplanes into this box, and throwing the whole box over the edge. Long story short, the box hit the really nice ceiling fan and broke one of the blades off and I got in trouble even though I had been downstairs picking up airplanes.

no, I think you and I both got in trouble for it, probably cause they could tell we were lying about it. We didn't tell them about the box thing, we told them that it was done accidentally by a really giant paper airplane. hahaha god we were dumb. I think we spent the rest of the afternoon making a paper airplane big enough to break a fan.
no, dad cared, i remember.
on a sidenote, I was really dissapointed when they finally remodeled and got rid of the bathroom door with the axe hole in it.
I also have some weird recollection of you and I skipping piano lessons for like a month, we'd ride our bikes to arlene, and wait and pretend like we were riding back so barret would think we went.

ha! not as interesting as it sounds. I pissed him off, he chased me with a (plastic, but still really heavy and dangerous) halloween axe and right as he swung I slammed the bathroom door behind me and locked it. The axe put a hole in the door.

once i was following my brother around with a broom stick and he slammed a door and i went thru it with the stick. the worst thing is that since we were home alone, we blamed it on my little brother who couldnt talk at the time.

I don't think that the nati ice is a beer reference anymore, I now realize that it's a reference to your ice cold heart
haha. sorry.
If I had more time I'd make a picture tutorial of how to make the greatest paper airplane ever, it does varying 'tricks' and 'stunts' whilst in air.
