sounds like you like the slow ambient stoner stuff. you might be into more recent neurosis--i recommend their record "the eye of every storm." in fact, now that i mention it, i haven't heard that record in a while. i should put it on once this mary timony album i'm listening to is over.

I almost posted exactly that when I read your post, James. I went from pretty much the same stuff to slow, sludgy ambient metal, and it's been working out well for me. And do check out that Neurosis album, my friend lent it to me, and fuck, it's fantastic.
