Keyboard Amps?
«

I'm looking for some fairly inexpensive keyboard amps to play my laptop beats/synths through when I play live. I'm guessing what I'd want would be 2 amps, one for the right and one for the left channel? But I guess that would essentially be a PA. I'm not too sure how all this works. Anyone have any suggestions/ideas?

What's your live setup like right now? i.e., what do you play through when you do it at home?

Well, when I write I just play everything through headphones.
When I rehearse, I run my laptop through an old stereo system of mine, and run my acoustic guitar through a POD and into the same stereo system. And I run a mic into it as well.

If you need the stereo effect, and you want to play guitar and your beats simultaneously, you'd be in a pretty good position to buy some speakers, a power amp, and a mixer. You can get a decent price on a Behringer or Peavy amp, and whatever speakers you can get. Look at

for some deals on mixers, at least. I got an 8-track Alesis mixer with for like a hundred and fifty bucks, and it's pretty good for live and recording situations. But there's some ideas.
