It's Robert Altman, by the way, with his usual strong cast.

I'll be suprised when I hear GG Allin on a Pixar film. The things being mentioned I expect.

I'll hate The OC forever if it means I have to hear Death Cab even more fucking often than I already do.
They're kind of great, in a way. Sort of a gateway band? Kids in junior high or whatever, that don't live in major metropolitan areas, don't have any real access to non-mainstream culture (the internet isn't enough, in and of itself). Kids can hear bands like the Strokes and Death Cab for Cutie, and if they look into them, hear of bands like Gang of Four, VU, and whatever else, I don't know, the Mountain Goats.

And I just noticed how condescending that post is to the Strokes and Death Cab for Cutie, both of whom being bands that I own records by and listen to occasionally.

The Nordstrom background music includes Death Cab, My Morning Jacket, New Pornographers, Morrissey and Elliott Smith.

I do. It was meant to be a temporary fun job, but I've stayed there longer than I intended. It's a good time to go shopping, though. The big Anniversary Sale is going on right now.
(I can't believe I just said that. I'm leaving it, but I'm afraid I may have been brainwashed into pimping for Nordstrom.)

If you like cheap clothes that look decent, I highly recommend Old Navy.

Outlet stores?
You could very well be right about Old Navy. I generally at any given time have two pairs of clothes, and they usually last me about six months to a year. Considering how cheap the clothes are however, it's not a bad deal. Especially since I usually end up recieving the clothes as gifts in the first place.

sorry for the interruption, but that cat food commercial playing the magnetic fields is adorable. I don't even like cats, so it sings to me.

The best part of that commercial is that they use the song "I Think I Need a New Heart". Perfect sentiment for selling cat food.
And not really indie, but awesome nonetheless: 13th floor elevators in a Dell Commercial!
