Maybe that guy who wrote the comics code was right, and comics do turn our brains to mush and our spelling and grandma to shit.
FUCK FREDRIC WERTHAM AND ALL HE STANDS FOR.
Seriously, nothing about comics keeps people from an enjoyment of "proper" grammar and accurate spelling. I know of plenty of cartoonists who are also first-rate prose authors.

naw dude. you're not. also, i'll agree that "obsessive" is the word. and i totally understand your not wanting to be obsessive on a message board.
that said, there are a few things i'd REALLY appreciate you watching out for in the future. hell, i'm sure that we each have our own pet peeve about your erratic posting grammar. haha.

Just say it then. It can't be worse than the Bright Eyes video I am watching/

ok, well, here goes:
the way you use the word "of" when you want the word "have" makes me want to fucking scream. you've been yelled at about it multiple times by multiple people and you still do it. this is a habit you need to train yourself to break before you're doing it in essays you're trying to hand in. i know, i know, you're obsessive about your grammar in schoolwork, but seriously, allowing a habit this flagrant and this lazy to build up will eventually cause problems in areas where you don't want it to, simply because in your editing your eyes won't scan it as wrong.

Andrew, you could of gone a little easier on him. I'm sure he would of learned eventually.

Yikes! I didn't mean my comment to sound like Fred Wertham or whatever his name is is ok or nothing. He is the enemy of the people. I also don't want to imply that all cartoonists can't spell, it just seems like a lot of them can't.

Whoa, don't worry about it; I figured you were kidding about the Comics Code thing. I just like to denounce Wertham and the Comics Code at every available opportunity.

Why do they even have the comics code anymore? Completely useless.

Wait, didn't Marvel abandon it? And DC doesn't use it much, do they?

And hey, how about Wonder Woman killing a man in cold blood? THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME, etc.

Have you been keeping up with the whole Infinite Crisis thing? I like it only because of the whole underlying theme of "the world isn't black and white". It is cool to see the DC icons deal with that. Yeah, Wonder Woman isn't that big, but it is more into the step into the grey area. You really don't wanna get into this conversation with me. I can be a HUGE fanboy, and will go into this for hours.
