I don't have google earth because I use a mac, but that seems adorable and very appropriate. kudos, sir, for this apt and skillful use of technology.

A fascinating idea! But where, in that link, is the file?

Greg: click the "Open this placemark" link (right above the description).
Jervy: Are the ones without song titles put on there by Google, because they don't seem to have anything to do with tMG's songs. Also, this seems to only include places from
All Hail West Texas
, so you've got a lot of work ahead of you.

you need to choose what stuff you want on there. to the left of the earth, you can check the boxes that you want to show. uncheck everything but the mountain goats stuff. you're right that it's only all hail west texas. that's what i was listening to when i decided to do it. i tend to get excited about stuff at first then quit. that may be what will happen here. others are welcome to contribute.

Very few people do the "embarrassingly obsessive Mountain Goats fan" thing quite as well as I do, so maybe I'll give it a try.

if you want to cheat a bit it might be easier to read the lyrics at themountaingoats.net. i was trying to do it while listening to all hail west texas, then i thought of doing that and it was much easier.
