i think this forum could be the music forum my life has lacked since the (generally pretty terrible) pitchfork one went down. now i can talk about things that matter to me, like how i think the new devendra banhart album may be even better than rejoicing in the hands! i just downloaded it, so maybe it's still too early to tell, but so far it's hitting pretty hard.

I hear you sashwap! i was just thinking about how i needed to find a good forum the other day, and then lo and behold, the fine people at LPTJ have given it to me. props to John and Lalitree!

the new Devendra album is quite good. Though it doesn't seem a departure from Rejoicing (I believe both albums were culled from the same sessions), it somehow hits me harder. his lyrics are so surreal and imaginative.
