eh, the heat just turned off here.  seeing as how the building is mostly glass, it should reach freezing within an hour at most.

luckily i have my fireman coat with me.  it is both fire resistant and cold resistant.

i'm drinking wine now...  one of the other students brought wine to the crit from his site (walla walla).  it's quite nice.  i should probably eat something, though.

good idea maybe i should start drinking wine now too but i want to make it to this party not half in the bag, this is the one where i have to bring the dessert

my landlady is on point. i called her tuesday and she had someone come out and fix the heat wednesday. i needed a new gas valve, whatever that means.

also, hi everyone. i missed wednesday, thursday and friday on here. i haven't been doing enough writing lately, and that wasn't why i was gone, either--i was doing actual work, for my job. boo. anyway, i'm here today, and i'm gonna finish the slint proposal tomorrow, since i gotta email it by wednesday in order to make the deadline. maybe then i'll feel a little more accomplished.

i did accomplish one thing while i was on lptj hiatus, though--i got my bike fixed. which really only necessitated replacing one of the inner tubes and pumping the other one back up (it was down to something like 20 psi). now i can ride my bike to work every day, and stop feeling silly driving back and forth when i only work a mile from my house. all i need now is a bike lock so that i can ride everywhere else.
