Ha- the fact that I was listening to Billie Holiday on my way back to work after lunch means I'm now singing 'I'll be Sihung you' in my head.  Smile

So Sihung- closer than Busan or further away?

Nice.  Very nice.  Very Happy

Sihung is further north than Busan.  I'm not sure, does that make it closer to Dublin?  It's much closer to the major airport in Korea, which is way more important.  Am I right, or am I right?

You are, of course, right.  Though even if you were wrong, you'd be right.

well it could have other uses, maybe you play golf with a friend who makes divets on the greens just by walking on them! this would be a "hefty golf friend"

i better watch it now, i can't blame wine at 11 AM, but i suppose i'd find something else to blame, MY LACK OF FOOD! that's IT! when i'm undernourished i act up.

the thought of firing up those binoculars you know the ones that takes photos too my company gave me, and then think of someone good to spy on. i'm thinking sean penn, then he can beat me up and i can sue him - i'll say i was bird watching and the people of SF will be on my side!  i wish i had a real case to crack (and the soundtrack for it) like Marlowe - i know i know too much film noir  Rolling Eyes

I'm excited about going to see SMOKIN' ACES tomorrow!

I look forward to the part where Jeremy Piven's like "I'm a magician"

and then the hitmen are like BLAM POW SHOOT

maybe a White Zombie song will play in the background too

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS

I actually enjoyed this movie, and found myself oddly attracted to the psychotic brothers in it, which was disturbing.  You'll know what I mean when you see it.

Friday evenings - no feeling like it. The weekend stretching out ahead and work never further away. Autechre on the headphones, Caillou on the DVD player, daughter on the sofa, beer on the placemat.

Are they the half-naked guys, one of whom leaps out of the smoke-filled elevator with his tongue hanging out?  'Cause that was the part of the preview that shifted my opinion from "This looks like it might possibly kick ass" to "WHOOOOA KICKASS WHOOO SMOKIN' ACES!!!!!!!"

While your enthusiasm is kind of adorable, I am beginning to question whether you're really sincere about your great all caps-y anticipated love of this thing. JEREMY PIVEN IS A SERIOUS ACTOR YOU KNOW

HE WAS ON THAT SERIES "CUPID" ONCE

IT WAS REALLY GOOD

From some reviews of the film:

"Checking in on the entertainment spectrum somewhere between a cockfight and a really fine tractor pull"
-Washington Post

"Will not disappoint fans of mayhem and bloody contract killing madmen."
-FilmsInReview.com

"This film was not based on a video game, but that's the vibe and the aesthetic at work here: YEAH! KILL!, followed by a few muttered expressions of the horror, the horror."
-Chicago Tribune

"It's all a mad, mad, mad, mad whirl of bullets, bloodshed, the occasional breast and agonizingly lame jokes aimed at males who don't get out much... "Smokin' Aces" is an awkward pelvic thrust of a movie"
-Atlanta Journal-Constitution

"whorish insensitivity"
-The New Yorker
