i have one with very colorful lights. it looks a bit more modern than yours, but it looks flower power as fuck. i can't find any google images of it, so i'll try to get a flick of it at some point. fun machine for president!

Pretty much everything.

- New nursing placement is going really well.  
- Weekend before last I realised a life long ambition of having sex dressed as bunny rabbit.
- College fortnightly that I'm setting up for the LGBT society is getting printed off as I type. Should be ready for distribusion by the 1st.
- Sophie got accepted onto another animal care course, that's 5 now, she has to hear back from three more and then it's descion time.
- Couple of class presentations went smashing this week, one lasted forty minutes and I managed to control my nerves and not vomit.
- At the weekend it's more fancy dress fucking!

this afternoon me and finn had a "boy's day out". while erin did some shopping and gardening, we hopped in the car, cranked up the hank williams, and drove to borders (where we played with melissa & doug toys and bought some gourds records and moleskine notebooks), the library (where we checked out dan simmons' ilium and three movies: manhattan, raging bull, and no direction home), and the post office (where everyone aww'ed). we then made our way downtown to agora, an extremely quirky thrift store/record shop. we scored a few exciting items there (exile on main street, bad brains, and elvis costello's almost blue) before zipping by quizno's for lunch.

an almost impossible 5 stops in all! it's the longest period of time i've had finn all to myself, and it went great! he didn't complain at all, despite being buckled into his car seat five times. he had a great time sitting up high on record crates and chewing on 25-cent cassette tapes.

can't wait til my next day off!

Oh I'll tell you son:

I spent eight fucking hours in the library today and got more done than I've accomplished in a single week out of the last three years (I'm still sightly behind, but that's okay!)

After the library I went to the bar and had six OPAs and a shot of Belvedere

Then I walked home

Tomorrow I'm going to meet with the chair of the English dept. to discuss what exactly I need to do to put myself on the road to becoming an English prof. Because after years of indecision and delusions about how I'm going to make it on my own as a freelancer, I've decided that I really love academia, and I would really love to teach passionate young people such as myself about literature. So that's that.

extremely easy and often impressive desert thing is moroccan oranges (sliced oranges, powdered sugar, and orange flower water).  indian cauliflower curry is a good side dish, as are roasted root vegetables with rosemary.  um, main dishes... let me think...

me?  i don't have anymore dreams, where there was once dreams i have left only empty burnt out shells from MR. MIGHTY MITE'S MORTAR KIT that once crackled red, green and white above the beach and into down into the altantic.  hearing my dreams hit the water sizzle and fade, i drank a bottle of wine and slowly decayed.
