Thanks, Bernard. You know, I've been to the NYC BiT, but never the L.A. one for some reason. My partner is a fan of the Pleasure Chest in West Hollywood--being woman-friendly is a huge factor for her (and rightly so, of course!)--but I'll put in a nomination. Also, it's a shorter drive, so that's good too.

BiT is quite woman-friendly. The Pleasure Chest is perfectly fine, but much of their selection is more toward the novelty end of the spectrum (which is perfectly fine). If you're going to be using the stuff you buy, though, you'll find tha BiTs selection is, while much more limited, quite practical. I assume that when you say PC you're referring to the shop in WeHo -- honestly, at least give BiT a look -- it's a very small shop and it won't take a minute to look around, but they're all business, and their products are selected for usability rather than comedy value.

Yeah, I read more than half of it on a two hour flight to Indiana, and it was pretty awesome. There's a scene that's so disgusting that I want to tell you about it but I say you should read it yourself.

also, that publisher's weekly reviewer needs to re-examine his or her preconceptions in a big way.

...I can afford school!
