I'm reveling in ridiculous, nonsensical New Yankee Workshop based jokes.

As previous posts have basically said outright, my job's been a shitshow of shitty showings, but today it was kinda sorta redeemed, I guess. The Boss-Man took me aside and after a spell of semi-convoluted haranguing ("I don't care what you think I want you to say, I just care what you think!" etc.), he ultimately told me straight away that he wasn't asking any of the other interns directly what they thought and that I should be brave, braver than I've ever been. Which is all very vague, especially considering how you most likely don't know what it is I do or what it is I do not do, but, yes, it was still relieving and, ultimately, inspiring.

I should add that I left this exchange with a racing heart and freshly sweaty armpits and probably a spot or two of perspiration on my back, which is perhaps reason enough not to be too ecstatic about the proceedings. Nonetheless, onward, ho!

My friends Brown Recluse Sings were in Veronica Mars tonight!  WTF!?  It was during the opening scene.  It's called "Western Meadowlark."

My roommate forgot his keys this morning, so after work, I'm gonna have to walk down to his office and hand them off to him.  My roommate said my reward for this noble act would be that he'd buy me a bottle of scotch.

I like having mini-quests.

I finally got through all the music on my iPod that I stole from my friend's computer.  I have, in the past, been accused of this, but I have never seen a music collection that vascillated so wildly between good and awful music.  Well, I should say good music and unbelievably repetetive music.  Seriously, you can listen to 7 songs in a row sometimes and not know if it's 7 different songs or one really long, really mediocre one.  Then there'll be two incredibly good songs, and then one that just doesn't make any sense in the same collection.
Anyway though, I'm happy because I finally got all the bad stuff weeded out and put some more of my good stuff on there.  Got rid of the Hyper to make space for the Eagles of Death Metal and Tin Hat Trio.

The kitten came back!  She got outside at some point and earlier I heard her meowing through the door to the other cat.  I opened the door and she ran in!  She still hates us though.

That's a refreshingly honest cat then.  All cats are plotting the demise of their people, most of them are just sneakier about it.

I have this huge sense of power being in 7th form and not having to wear mufti. Especially since I don't have to deal with last year's 7th formers who were total bitches. I've spent most of the last 2 days in the sun on the top field with my friends spinning around, breaking trees and yelling things in the general direction of 3rd formers. I don't have to hang out with all the losers I did last year and we get the free periods and stuff.
I'm still exhausted from Monday when i didn't get to bed til about 7 in the morning and got up at 11.30, but it's all good. I'm the kind of tired where I feel incoherent like Slater from Dazed and Confused but I don't have to buy any pot to get like that.
