I had Sprint a number of years ago and was totally irritated by their customer service. I would have probably stayed with T-mobile if my parents didn't have Sprint. I'm not sure if you should be able to upgrade your phone without upgrading your plan. One would think it would be possible, but I never got far enough in the process to see if you have to basically become a new customer again to upgrade.

The occupation continues. I've slept three hours since Wednesday night and am making a podcast everynight. Today the uni demanded we leave or face sanctions, we said no.

Yeah, Dom that is excellent! I hope you're able to have a tangible effect with your demands.

Cool that Chomsky weighed in with support, too.

Last night, at the occupation, the Vice-Chancellor of Student Experience and the Head of Security, at Nottingham University ordered the forced removable of those Occupying room B62. Those who were still in the room, linked arms and sat on the ground. Security guards then entered the room and systematically dragged individuals out, using force that included stamping on legs, kicking, the twisting of arms, and various use of pressure points. The students were then dragged out of the building and thrown out into the snow. Despite demands for our belongings to be returned en masse, we were informed that we would only be allowed to collect said belongings if we identified ourselves and our student numbers, which would then place us in a position in which recriminations from the university adminstration could occur.  Some belongings were retrieved, through various means, some were not and await us in the security office. The police arrived after one of the students phoned to report an assault, but when twenty or so of them arrived within seconds of that phone call they blocked the entrance to the building stopping us from engaging with those who had assaulted us and those who had ordered the assaults. The police also refused to allow us to report any assualt, despite various injuries having occured and the perp's still being in the building. The right to peacful assembly clearly does not exist within this university. My legs swollen from being kicked, and my fingers bruised after being pulled back. I am pissed off, but thankfully there are enough of us to make sure that the university is not allowed to sweep this, nor it's afflilation and support of the bombing of Gaza under the carpet.

Thank you LPTJ, for the original "if you're reading the boards now, post here" thread.  It was three years today that a conversation about the movie "Groundhog Day" moved off-board and went mega!

Jesus. I can't believe I've been on here that long. And to think... It all started with an Im from Jeb about this one board he'd been posting on.

I did not know that Jeb and Mike knew each other prior to LPTJdom.  Huh.

At any rate, this is page 21.  New random thread here:
