That was cute. Wish the person would've left the hamster alone, thought. Give the hamster its fifteen minutes, y'know?

That hamster is remarkably single-minded, and that hand is attached to a huge asshole.

Sometimes I half wonder what the world did before the internet.

But I don't wonder for long, because the only answer that really matters is:

not this.

I've been wondering if I've ever seen something better than that before in my life, but I've come to the conclusion that no, this is actually the best thing ever.

This is not a cute fuzzy animal picture but I thought it was pretty adorable anyway and so I thought I would share it with you 'cause I'm just a big old softie like that.

We have sideways rain, too.

Did anyone else wonder if the hedgehog had died or something in the middle? He was awfully still for a while, to the point where finally I skipped ahead to make sure.

The news told me the hedgehog loves to float on its back, so it was kind of spoiled for me. However, it does look very happy floating there.

that thing barely looks real.  it looks like a swimming bathtub scrub.  interesting because i saw this book featured at barnes and noble last night

i had no idea what it was about, and it still doesn't sound that interesting but if any of you want to follow up this experience with more detailed information, a british environmental writer leads the way

In The Hedgehog’s Dilemma, Warwick gets to the bottom of the sudden boom in hedgehog popularity and examines the relationship between the hedgehog and man, covering both the mammal’s natural and un-natural evolution, from despised vermin to much-beloved beast. A historical and cultural exploration of the hedgehog, this is an engaging, informative, and charming look at the fascinating world of hedgehogs.

Quote
For more than twenty years, Hugh Warwick has tracked hedgehogs across the globe in the slim hopes of coming across the hedgehog’s tiny, but unmistakable, pawprints. Warwick isn’t alone in his endeavors. In England and Wales, the Environment Agency, Great Britain’s leading environmental group, recently selected the hedgehog as its new mascot; while in America, which lacks a native hedgehog species, fanciers flock to the biannual Mile High Hedgehog Show to celebrate en masse the little spiny urchin. But why does the hedgehog seem to have such universal appeal?

In all fairness, this was the morning news that I was watching for the purposes of catching a little weather and they had an (apparently) weekly segment on things on teh interweb.

I mean, I'm with you on this, but I head for PBS when I'm looking for hard news.

I don't think that guy is a jerk. As we learned from youtube classics such as "Baby's First Lemon", it's perfectly acceptable to bother something that is cute as long as it causes said cute thing to become cuter.

That being said, Hamster On A Piano (Eating Popcorn) really "grows the beard" 0:48.

Dude I don't know, I could watch the hamster eating the popcorn for a solid minute or so at least without dude fucking with him and I'd dig the video with or without annoying theme song.
