another thing you *can* do on most message boards is to first, hit "post a reply" then, to the right of where it says "message body" are a series of buttons, click on the one that says "Img". and in the reply window,

[img]

will pop up!

then you paste in your URL for the image like so:

[img]http://www.radargrey.com/dominic/aww.jpg

Then click on that same little "Img" button (which will have an * on it) which will give you this:

Code:

[img]http://www.radargrey.com/dominic/aww.jpg[/img]

and that will show up on your post, as:

remember to breath slow and take it slowly you'll get it!

Heather, that's cause most regular HTML code don't work on message boards, in my experience. I don't know why; I just know it's a fact.  However, if you were to try it in your coughlivejournal it would most likely work. I think.

hmmm.

it works on some message boards, it worked on mine when i had a phpbb board up. hmmm. but i think the html way is really important to learn. now dominic can post images EVERYWHERE!

this board is set up to only allow bbcode image posting, not html image posting. just for the record.

The switches are flipped for you to be able to use certain HTML tags, but I'm not sure it works. Also, you have to uncheck that little box below the post window that says "Disable HTML in this post", it's checked by default.
