Hi John - I kinda try not to participate in the discussion-of-the-LPTJ-pieces stuff, at least not in the sense of providing explication, because I think it's more interesting if I don't say "here's what I meant" esp. with pieces like that one - the fun is in playing with it, for me anyhow -

L.: whither the links page? Or: can we look forward to an awesome & updated links page? LPTJ must show love via a links page, if it has any love to give. The music-blogosphere will never forgive LPTJ if it doesn't show love thus. Then LPTJ will end up spending Friday nights alone, watching the Avengers & the Saint on BBC America, while the other blogs go out on the town.

Links page will happen someday. Or links sidebar, though that may be too "bloggy" for some. Either way, someday LPTJ will be able to show up at the ball adorned in a floor-length links page and make a glorious entrance that leaves other blogs dumbfounded.

From what I've gathered LPTJ is one of the rare cases where the blogosphere is happy to give without receiving. It is seen as a benign planet of wisdom and charm. To link to it, to be seen acknowledging its warm power and grace, is its own reward. One requires no further compensation. A prayer ends with "amen," not "holla back."

My face is cold with anguish now that I have learned of the discoloration in yours, Nickosaurus. My heart is full with sorrow, and I offer you my most sincere and heart-felt apology. My intentions were never to bring you any pain, nor even a moment of giddy-schoolgirlish embarassment. I was drunk and out of control and free from the shackles of compassion and consideration. For this selfish act I have established a measurable goal, upon the completion of which, I will have been absolved of the entire incident. Oh, if only this debt could be repaid by praying the rosary or shooting someone in the face. How easy that would be. No, I have a long road to tread, and the way is full of fright. Let me then think twice before applying the satire. Let my sarcasm fall by the wayside and clear the path of all debris. On my way to the house I will high-step no longer.

Er, is there something up with the forums? The dates skip around on this thread (and others) from late June to early August and back, and then the last two entires appear to be on the 11th, rather than the 21st, of September. Is anyone else seeing this?
