That's pretty much true for about half the cast of season four.

mcnulty didn't "buy" anything. notice the mention of him upthread in discussions of season 4. he's fine.

Does anyone know where I can download a free dvd burning software thingy so I can put the Wire on dvd for people who need to watch this thing?
DVDShrink
- for managing the filesizes - does a pretty great job at compression if you give it time.
List of free burning software
.
Just spotted this. Once again i thank you.

If you read the David Simon interview over on Salon, then you will know that Felicia Pearson, got her role by walking up to the Michael K Williams in a Baltimore club and rapping for him.
Oh, and Idris Elba kinda rocked back hard back when he was living in South London, working in community theatre groups, and from what I'm told being one of the London based actors who ran drama courses at Brixton Prison. Courses which are still going on, and have kinda helped turn it from one of the most violent prisons in the country to one with pretty solid ties with the community around it. He also cut his tv acting chops opposite Helen Mirren in one of the early Prime suspects. From what I remember he was pretty killer in that to.
No. I'm not writing his biography.

No worries. I've started using AVS disc creator from that list, and I recommend it. Small, simple and effective, unlike Nero, which is only one of those things.

Netflix strikes back. 2 days ago they sent me the 3rd disc of battlestar galactia 2.5 season.
Of course, I haven't seen the 2nd disc yet, which was ahead of the 3rd disc in my que.

What episodes are on the 3rd disc?
Because I'm gonna recommend that even if it's just "Downloaded" and the two parts of "Lay Down Your Burdens" that you should go ahead and watch.
If you don't have "Downloaded" I think I would wait.
I'm not knocking "Scar" or "Sacrifice" or "The Captain's Hand" or whatever you might be missing. Def go back and watch those. But the last three will make sense without them.

No Downloaded, just Lay Down Your Burdens 1 and 2.

I just saw the show "Jam" last night, which was one of the most extraordinary TV-viewing experiences I have ever had in my life.
The basic script seems to be fairly straightforward sketch comedy, but the way it's shot and acted makes the whole thing feel like a soul-eroding fever-dream. The entire show is suffused with terror and dread. It is incredible. Like if David Lynch was shooting Heart of Darkness or something. I can't stop thinking about it.
