I bought a cd by The Bear Quartet (Gay Icon)  because I think bears are awesome.

and I bought "The Best Party Ever" by The Boy Least Likely To because I was sad and it made me picture people dancing in my head!

ive bought some crazy metal albums on the dirt cheap used end of things because of their ridiculous band name/album name/cover whatever. i try not to drop more than about $4 on purchases like that though, they have a pretty low return rate. last one was this little number by Torsofuck (linked for hugeness and grossness Twisted Evil ). it was pretty bad and i sold it shortly thereafter, but i mean look at that. cant pass shit that up for $4.

* Black Heart Procession (one of the best purchases I ever made, natch)

* My Life In Rain

* Trembling Blue Stars

* I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness

* We Are Scientists

* I think "Corpsevomit" is probably the best/funniest band name ever (albeit tied with ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead) but I would never buy one of their records

Yeah I picked up Her Handwriting based solely on the name and wasn't let down at all.

ALMOST bought this.  Saw it in the music section of a Barnes & Noble somewhere.   Currently investigating mp3s...

I buy things for the packaging a lot.  Bee Season by Myla Goldberg, because the old hardcover looks like a merriam-webster's dictionary.  I bought All Hail West Texas having never heard of the Mountain Goats because, not only was the title good, but the cover says "fourteen songs about seven people, two houses, a motorcycle, and a locked treatment facility for adolescent boys."  I couldn't NOT buy it.  Same thing with The Decline of British Sea Power because the cover says "British Sea Power's Classic THE DECLINE OF BRITISH SEA POWER" Despite the fact that it's their first album.

i grabbed a myla goldberg advance copy that came through my store recently just because the decemberists have a song called "song for myla goldberg". i guess that's the closest i've got.

HEY WHOA!!!!

NOT AT ALL!!

AGAGHAGHGHGHAGHGHGHAGSDG?!?!??$?%#@$%@!@#!

fuck is no wall of noise, dude. they're IRONICALLY very mellow, fuzzy, fried-out folk-punk and stuff like that.

fuck is AWESOME. i have all their stuff...the first album i bought of theirs came in a hand-painted box which included--aside from the cd--a gold crayon, a toy baby rattle, a fuck coloring book, and a package of sweet tarts.

in fact, conduct is a great place to start...probably my favorite of theirs. "twist off" is one of my favorite songs ever. pardon my french and baby loves a funny bunny are also really playful, laidback and catchy as shit.

people, LOVE the fuck, pleeeease.

 Much Love
