During which years did you attend that school?  I mostly begged my parents to go there when I was still at my first high school, which was miserable to say the least.  I ended up transferring to the Milwaukee High School of the Arts, and loving my last two years of high school as much as I could have.  It was a good decision, and also cost my family no money at all.

'01-'05, which was 9th-12th grade for me. it's a great school for art, as far as zeitgeist goes, but obviously there's really no direct "teaching" of theory and that jazz unless you want there to be.

i'm glad (and lucky) that i could afford to do it, and that it's a hell of a lot cheaper than most private schools at about 5 grand.

Eugene, but I think most people just call him Gene.  I don't remember his last name and have actually never met him in person, but he is an oldskool e-friend of mine.
