people should stop giving me easy reasons to give them shit.
like buying a mini vehicle that costs as much as a real one and can only be used on roads, during fewer seasons than the thing it replicates.
You can get a motorcycle for $300?

Motorcycles in general are for jerks
I guess the really small ones are for jerks of lesser relative magnitude

I'm pretty sure that I'll get a motorcycle one day, but the real question is whether it'll be before, during, or after a mid-life crisis.

I would love to have a motorcycle, actually. I think they're great.

I hate loud vehicles. They're usually driven by loud people.

I wouldn't want a loud one, I'd probably get something small and as quiet as possible if I ever got one.
Probably won't ever get one, though.

Yeah, I'm not particularly interested in getting something that makes a lot of noise; mostly, it just seems perfect for traveling at high speeds without having any other people around. Two things I enjoy.

You want a motorcycle to make some noise, though. It's asinine, but it lets drivers know you're around.

True. That's another thing that always turned me off of motorcycles: they seem like a really good way to get killed

I dunno, I've never experienced a particularly loud Pollo, drinking or no, but my experience is limited.

I really want an M-Audio Sputnik microphone.
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudio-Sputnik-MultiPattern-Large-Diaphragm-Vacuum-Tube-Condenser-Mic?sku=276505&src=3WFRWXX&CAWELAID=26021080
I finally got to test one out in person, and it's just everything that the reviews say it is, the first "this mic could be your life" condenser that I've used and heard that wasn't $10,000+. Sadly, I already have a great selection of mics, don't have $600 to spend on a Sputnik, and honestly there are about five or six elements in my recording setup that I need to upgrade - totaling about $10K - before I even think about going to the next level on mics.

man, see, people tell me not to be a dick and then lay a fucking smorgasboard on the table for me to poop on
that mic sucks.
it also appears to be $800, which makes it almost the same price as a naked eye which makes it suck even more

yeah, the problem is that the people doing the former and the people doing the latter are not the same thing.
but seriously, if you think almanzo is crazy to like that mic, you should explain why instead of being all "I POOP ON YOUR DESIRE FOR THAT MIC". you know?

you edited your original post to add "that mic sucks"? dude, that doesn't say anything more than what you originally posted.
this: "it also appears to be $800, which makes it almost the same price as a naked eye which makes it suck even more" seems like it might be getting somewhere, but still isn't illuminating your actual criticisms to any significant degree.

i just wish you'd attempt to engage with the people on this board as equals more often, and be a pretentious asshole less often. you're a smart guy who has interesting shit to say when you actually try, and i don't understand why you'd rather shit all over everything instead. so if i make you sad sometimes, let me assure you, the feeling is mutual.
