i think it far more likely that you'd slaughter yourself with that thing long before you ever got around to using it on someone else.

Ahahahaha, I think you're right. My scenario would probably go more like:
ROBBER: Gimme your wallet!!!
ITALIAN DUDE: Yeah, sure.. it's in my pocket... HAHA!!!
<THWUMP!>
ROBBER: Whoa... he just cut off his leg and head at the same time... holy crap... that sure is alot of blood...

In Star Wars: RPG by West End games, if you were non-proficient with a lightsaber there was a chance of accidentally severing a limb.

Ah yes, second ed Star Wars. An oldie but a goodie.
40", btw, is in the upper range of blade lengths of real swords. A blade that long and wide would probably only go on a größe messer.

Just the fact that WEG Star Wars RPG was mentioned makes me pretty much love all of you guys but especially Dave and GI. I still have my books in my closet somewhere; I'm planning on using them as my second child's inheritance. First one gets all the McDonald's toys still in wrappers.

Ha alright, alright, Andronicus.
Just the idea of some guy hauling that knife out and flicking the blade open, and lopping off his leg and head simultaneously... that mkes me laugh really, really hard. There are some girls across the library looking at me pretty dirtily. Mayhap I ought to explain my joviailty.

While reading the last few posts, I remembered the time that one of my players, circa 5th grade, open up an e-web blaster on a smarmy hutt, all WEG-style.
Shortly afterwards, a single tear rolled down my cheek.

Hhahaha I looked over... there are about 6 meters away... and I give a lusty wink, a toothy grin, and go "heh heh heh..."
I think I freaked them out a little... though not as much as expected. I'm very non-creepy.

If they're not freaked out that bad, then it means you've successfully charmed them. Wait 5 minutes, then go over and offer to take them back to your place.
Also, Klaus: We will make babies. I know how to do that, it's in one of the Galaxy Guides; probably Fragments from the Outer Rim.

Afterwards, can we go to the grocery store to photocopy character portraits from the sourcebooks?!

Obviously
you need to draw your own character protraits.
Or use
Hero Machine
.
(On the bottom left - either use 'Classic' to your heart's desire, or try out 2.0)

So it's not that I can't afford a
skull stein
, it's just that it's riiiight on the line between "OMG AWESOME" and "impractical and ugly". I'm gonna be weighing the pros and cons all day.

It'd go fine right in between the huge Ulysses S. Grant Returns Home Victorious coffee mug I already have and the giant "We Still Love You General Lee" one that I'm trying to track down.

yeah I was thinking it was going to be all metal and gothic sort of looking, but that's just a white skull mug. my vote for what it's worth = no.

Things of beauty that really piss me off are intriguing. Like that watch. And Michelle Malkin.
