They have vegetarian
everything

Doesn't necessarily mean that all of it is delicious, but Reubens have enough going on to distract you from the actual meat, right?

Quote from: "Gracelette"
I'd been growing an onion monster since before Christmas... I left it in the dark cupboard and it sprouted really long green shoots and if I held it up to my face, I could pretend that I was a giant squid with green tentacles. When my mum came to Bologna two weeks ago, we put it in a cleaned yoghurt pot with some water to help it grow a bit more... like resuscitating an interrogation prisoner to keep torturing them, really... just to see for how long it would stay alive. Last week it disappeared and my flatmate had done a really big cleanout so I figured he'd thrown it out. Turned out a few days later that he'd just put it on the balcony to get some fresh air. Throwing out flatmate food is such a big no-no, though I do occasionally transfer his food into tupperware containers or cover it with clingfilm.
That said, I would not recommend anybody try eating my onion monster, however moldy it gets.

i had an onion monster too that i found in the fridge drawer. i transferred it to a little pot and put it on the window sill, but it outgrew it's meager home and died.

Peeps: "Hey, Bri...whatcha doing tonight?
Me: "Making corned beef from scratch, bitches!"
Peeps: Oh. ... Hey, I gotta go.

i was really, really impressed when i had my first one a few weeks ago. easily the best-tasting, best-prepared veggie meat slices i'd ever had.
(i'll be the first to admit that most of those slices you buy in the grocery store are less-than-stellar...but they'd fried this stuff or something. and it was juicy. it was primo.)

I've been to Subway a lot this week. It'll probably continue, because I keep forgetting to pack lunches, and Subway is the only place around here to get anything even remotely healthy. Today, I'm rockin' tuna salad on wheat topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, spicy mustard and cucumber. It's actually very good.
Also, how many times did I have to go into the subway before I ended up flirting with the girl behind the counter? 6. But I swear she started it, all asking me "what I liked on it."

Since the Open Letters thread is getting derailed, I'm opening this thread back up to say that I fully agree with C of Heartbreak and milly:
Grilled cheese should be white bread with processed American cheese. Maybe a tiny bit of parika if I'm feeling zesty.
Y'all ever had grilled cream cheese and olive sandwiches? Sour as hell, and SO DAMN GOOD.

I like them with sourdough and swiss. Or Brownberry wheat bread. Or MULTIPLE KINDS OF CHEESE. Processed American cheese makes me sad in my heart.

I like my grilled cheese havarti + tomato on wheat.
If we must ascend to the realm of zest, add some pesto. Hot damn.

Also, I meant "paprika". I don't know what "parika" is. It sounds like it might be a Pokemon.

If I was the Incredible Hulk, but what made me hulk out was that I wanted a sandwich, my shirt would be in tatters.

I think a goal of LPTJ should be to have every thread on the first page contain a discussion of sandwiches.

So now I have my answer to why it was doing weird things last night! Somewhere you were eating slices of processed American cheese and cackling manaically yet softly to yourself! Good to know...YOU ASSHOLE.
Also, how much sense does it make that I dislike processed slices of cheese but processed orangeypowdered macaroni and cheese has been my go-to comfort food since forever? Answer: None, and I am a hypocrite.

When melted, all cheese is equal. Except mozzarella, of course.

I wish blue cheese was easier to melt. As it is, I usually satisfy my creamy-yet-moldy cravings with blue cheese dressing.
Yeah, store-bought boxed mac and cheese is the way to go. Y'all had Annie's? It's so good! And it's pro-bunny, which is cool, 'cause so am I.

Yes, but you are also a fan of $2.50 bottles of wine from Aldi's.

Hells yes. $2.50 bottle of Winking Owl, $0.29 package of generic Mac n' Cheese. That's a meal right there.
It's the black-card era.

I am picturing something similar to dolphin-free tuna and am very confused. Are bunnies killed in the making of Annie's? Or do they just think these
are cute and have them on their boxes?
yes, I am breaking out the bunny of doom picture.
