Yeah, I honestly prefer the non-Philly.  I think it's because my parents used to buy Whiz on occasion and I ate too much of it as a kid.  Much the same way I don't eat Lucky Charms anymore.

But that sounds great, FK!  Thanks for the breakdown.

The Philly cheesesteak is about the only thing I'm good with Cheez Whiz on, but it makes it totally delicious.

Yeah I agree with the Whiz being awesome on a cheesesteak and not much else.  If I were buying a legit cheesesteak in Philly, I definitely would opt for the Whiz again--so good.  But in my home kitchen, prov just works better.

I had to go to the bank this morning and thus didn't get a chance to stop for juice, fruit and salad. So I'll be eating horrible man-killing diner food for lunch today.

grilled cheese?  I find it to be a relatively reliable diner item, even in really sketchy places.

I actually considered this, but that's a bit out of range for me, so I just got a cheesesteak (american cheese instead of whiz, sadly) from a local place.  It's thoroughly OK.

Biggins!  I follow a guy on twitter who has a blog called On Sandwiches in which you might be interested.  Right now, they're doing a month of Banh Mis!

You know, I was going to eat a bahn mi for dinner 2 nights ago. Maybe I will do that tonight? I was at a place where their signature bahn mi was listed on the menu as being "pig innards."  I was going to go for the regular meat-and-pate one.

Maybe I'll call one in tonight--it's right by my tax office....
