Hey there is a thread like this! Woooo!

Name: Sasha
Age: 18
Three Bands you like: The Nation of Ulysses, Young People, The Halo Benders
Favorite movie: Maybe The Five Obstructions.
Favorite book: It's tough. Forty Stories recently rocked my shit.
Favorite comic strip: Peanuts. Or: Achewood.

Dude, you play the saw?  We so need to form an LPTJ All-Star Band.  I mean, like NOW.

The first and only time I had the chance to see NMH, a saw player was involved.  That shit was awesome!

Clem Snide works that shit.  And on a more local level, the Moaners do, too, sometimes shirtless.

I have no desire to see Eef's nipple hairz.

I'm going to again remind you all that I have a musical saw, which was tempered specially as a musical saw, but is also outfitted with cuttin' teeth.

Also, I'd like to point out that Clem Snide is one of my favorite bands ever, and not only did I get up on stage to sing my favorite song with them once, they later invited me to bring my saw and play it.

I'm too scurred to, though.  I'm not that good at the saw, and I'd be hella nervous.

Pete from Sodastream played the saw too when I saw them. It was awesome, but that sorta goes without saying where Sodastream are involved. Brian and Sasha are awesome too, but that also goes without saying.

Yup, Paul Robeson. Say the word and I can YSI/email you Robeson stuff!

I'm up for an LPTJ all-star band with a saw section.

One of my favorite bands in Toronto, the Singing Saw Shadow Show, exemplifies this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwr8fLjIHf8 (it is a great video, watch it)

Hell, Jeb, I have a crush on your cousin. What do you think about that?

careful HM, he's got some real axes and one decidedly fake one!

i'm on the "crushing on jeb's cousin" bandwagon.

and unlike the two of you, i do NOT have a significant other.

p.s.--auto-da-fey and plainenglish need to respond to this thread asap.

I need to respond to the "getting to know you" part, or I need to respond to the "all the guys and half the girls have a crush on Jeb's cousin, this is her favorite forum ever (duh!) oh and plus Jeb has an axe" part?

Niiiiice.  Except the meat part.  And I'm trying not to drink so much.  Darcy has quit, and I'm at least making an effort to cut way back, y'know, for solidarity.
I had weird "chicken" stuff for dinner, and boy was it tasty!
