most of mine are for random sloppy grindcore/powerviolence bands. i have a whole list somewhere, but i doubt i can find it, so here are some that i remember off the top of my head:
kindergarten litterbox
electro-ejaculator
genital mutilation
the nice people
the blinking red light that turns into ninjas
ears eyes mouth
gah, there are much better ones somewhere but i can't remember any of them.

one of my favorites
though i can't claim credit is
magnetic! dog boy
the band of my friend jesse in high school
inspired by a magnetic alphabet.
on the cover of the box it said magnetic!
and right under a kid had spelled dog and boy.
viola.

the cherries [yes there is already a band called that, but they haven't put anything out in a long time so if they wanted to fight we could do that]
mezzanine - emo so emo you would start crying just thinking about thinking about our music.
jews4jesus - one keyboard. four singers. none of the members are actually jewish or even believe in jesus.

As I've said...
Adam Smith & The Invisible Hands.
It's not tied to a genre really... and it's not neccesarily a political thing. I just think it sounds awesome to say it.
Or, if I needed to tie it down... it would be a cover band. We'd take avant garde stuff like Sonic Youth, or Can songs, and rerecord them as straight up pop numbers.
It's moments like this that make me wish i played an instrument and could start a band.

I always wanted to start an insanely aggressive and discordant noise band and call it Barbara Streisand.
Nobody ever thinks this joke is as funny as I do, but I will not let go.
I keep the dream alive, always.

Naw, Haav, I definitly chuckled, you get comic credits.
Not my idea, but I dig:
Streetlight People
Inspired by Journey's,
Don't Stop Believing
. Maybe all the performances could be limited to public predestrain venues. And if all the band members were homeless, that would be fitting.

Oh wow, there are so many. The ones closest to being used right now though...
Meaning of Everything: so incredibly audacious as to warrant its relevance. Taken from a book on the history of the OED.
The Finally Jews: my friend came up with this one. She said I would be the bassist. No clue as to what we'd sound like, but anything's worth trying once.

i'm kinda bummed that a band has gotten popular with the name "the killers" recently, and that they suck so fucking bad. there used to be a chicago-based hardcore band called the killers who were much more deserving of the name, but then, i felt the same way about john vanderslice's mk ultra (the chicago-based hardcore band was a much better match for the name).
i came up with the band name "left for dead" and then after i'd been doing the band for about 6 months, a band from canada with the same name got really big really fast. so i switched to using "tri state killing spree", and then after having that name for four years my friends and i discovered that there was a goth band from la called that. you can't win, i'm tellin ya.

I already have two mostly imaginary bands, both of which I think have terrific names.
Lecternette (My electro band, featuring myself and an old Audio-Visual Dept. colleague, named after an antiquated classroom PA device)
Duergar (My one-man synthesized metal band, ala Thrones, named after an evil race of subterranean dwarves from Dungeons and Dragons who value only toil)
I've made really great t-shirts for both bands.

Yes! Gamespy had a really amazing weeklong celebration of D&D's anniversary in August with a complete history, interviews with Gary Gygax, etc.
Here's the link.

I'll try to host the Duergar t-shirt graphic somewhere so I can post it here. Give me a few minutes.
