I posted a couple pages back about these guys being boring, and I figure I should ammend that statement by saying that I listened to this record the other day and enjoyed it a bit. The next day a song was stuck in my head. I still can't get through the whole record without wanting to listen to something else (I think I've yet to hear anything off the second half), but they're ok.
I just crave a little bit of danger in my music, and these guys are about as tame as it comes (and a bit gimmicky).

So here's my "I listened to the album, thought some of the songs were good but most were boring OMG OVERRATED" post: I really dig "Mansard Roof" and "Oxford Comma", the former of which should be at least twice as long I think. "A-Punk", "Campus", and "Walcott" are pretty good too. I find the rest either entirely unmemorable or kind of boring or too similar to mid-80's Paul Simon for my tastes.
Though, upon looking it up, it turns out I
do
give a fuck about Oxford commas. I'm strong in favor.

I'm glad I listened to them and dismissed them before the hype machine got completely out of control, so that I can feel confident in my wave of the hand.
I heard this band and thought, "I'd rather have a cup of tea."

serious tea drinkers, by which i mean the theanine-addicted, 100-cups-a-week, vampire-weekend-listening hard core, tend to prefer mugs to cups due to their greater volume.

It's true for me too. Nonetheless, I drank hot cocoa out of a mug that looked remarkably like that one (down to the dark blueish colour and the white ring on the bottom) just last week, so that looks mighty suspicious to me.

Are you suggesting that this is actually a picture of you drinking cocoa, with somebody else's face photoshopped in?

I simply assume that everyone who posts on the internet is a guy. Then I'm correct well over 90% of the time. And it often makes for hilarity when I discover I am wrong. Like when I figured out girl was female, oh how I laughed.
